Garbage collection will be every Thursday. When the following holidays - New Year’s Day, Memorial Day, Independence Day, Labor Day, Thanksgiving Day and Christmas Day - fall on a Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday or Thursday, then collection is delayed until Friday.

November 26 is the last Friday garbage day for 2004. Friday garbage days in 2005 are June 3, July 8, Sept. 9 and Nov. 25.

Recycling will be picked up bi-monthly as indicated on the calendar below. Recycling dates are shaded.

The following materials are to be included in the recycling program: clear glass, brown glass, green glass, aluminum cans, steel cans, bi-metallic cans and type 1 and type 2 plastics.

PLEASE NOTE THE THAT THE BOROUGH WILL NO LONGER BE RECYLCING NEWSPRINT. YOUR NEWSPRINT SHOULD BE PLACED OUT WITH YOUR REGULAR TRASH FOR PICKUP.

All recyclables must be placed curbside in either a blue recycling bin or a similar container. Garbage and recycling containers must only be placed at the curb after 6 p.m.

Recyclables will not be taken if they are placed in bags.
