- ATTENTION SENIORS -
If you are 60 years old and have income of $30,000 or less
(reporting only half of your Social Security)
you are eligible for Act 77 tax relief which represents
30% off County tax and 25% off Borough tax.
If you have already signed up, it is listed on your tax bill.
Applications are available in the Tax Office.
Deadline for filing is June 30th.


ALL UNPAID 2015 BOROUGH AND SCHOOL REAL ESTATE TAX BILLS
HAVE BEEN TURNED OVER TO JORDAN TAX SERVICE
FOR COLLECTION.


Borough tax bills will be mailed on February 15th, 2016
and Keystone Oaks School District tax bills on July 1st, 2016


You can now pay your Castle Shannon Borough property taxes
online via MuniciPAY using:
Visa, MasterCard, Discover, American Express, or Electronic Check Payments
(A per transaction convenience fee will be charged by MuniciPAY for this service.)

The Borough millage rate for 2016 remains the same at 8.385 mills
or $0.84 per $100 assessed valuation

Please be aware that your assessment has been reduced by 30%
and taxes calculated on the lower values.

Senior Citizen Property Tax Relief Program Act 77
In order to qualify, your total household income must not exceed $30,000
while only counting half of your Social Security or Railroad Retirement payments.
Application deadline is June 30, 2016.
