It’s time to start thinking about the Summer Recreation program! This program will be held at Riehl Park and is open to Borough children who have completed Kindergarten through age 12.
Official Sign Ups for enrollment will be on Saturday, May 13th from 10:00am until noon at both the Castle Shannon Community Library and the Castle Shannon Municipal Center.

***Hamilton Park pavilions and field will be closed for renovation during 2023. Only Riehl Park will be available for rental.***

2023 Rental Applications will start being accepted on November 1st, 2022. This will be in person only at the Municipal Center, beginning at 8:30 a.m.
The Borough is continually striving to improve its parks, to better serve the needs of its community residents. Hamilton Park has two pavilions (upper and lower) with restrooms, complete kitchens along with barbecue grills. Each kitchen has a stove, refrigerator, microwave and hot and cold water.
- The park rental season runs from the first weekend in May through the last weekend in September.
- Riehl Park also has a covered pavilion and kitchen facilities, along with restrooms and separate soccer and T-Ball fields.
- The municipal center has one meeting room, a lighted baseball/softball field, a walking trail and playground facilities.
- A covered picnic table has been added to the parklet at the end of Myrtle Avenue.
- O’Brien Field is not available to rent.
- A $50 penalty will be enacted for pavilion rental cancellations
