2021 Meeting Schedule
Take Notice that the Borough of Castle Shannon Borough Council will meet the second and fourth Mondays during the months of January, February, March, April, June, July, August, September, October and November. Due to holiday closings, Council will meet the second Monday in May and December. These meetings will be held at 7:00 p.m. for Council to consider and act upon matters in an official business meeting.
The Planning Commission will meet 7:00 p.m. the third Monday of each month, except for July and August, as needed to consider and act upon matters. The Zoning Hearing Board will meet when there are matters to consider and act upon. The Civil Service Commission will meet as needed subsequent to specific public notices.
All meetings will be held at the Castle Shannon Municipal Center, 3310 McRoberts Road, Castle Shannon, PA 15234 or as a virtual meeting using Zoom Meeting technology in compliance with the disaster emergency proclamation of the Governor of Pennsylvania related to the coronavirus pandemic, including the closure of non-essential businesses, stay-at-home order and social distancing directives.
When council is meeting in a remote capacity, residents may submit questions or comments for review/consideration to the borough website at Council Meeting form. The appropriate council member/staff will respond to the request.
Any person with a disability requiring special accommodation to attend a meeting of the Borough of Castle Shannon should notify the secretary at (412) 885-9200 x100 as early as possible, but not later than 5 working days prior to the meeting. The Borough will make every effort to provide a reasonable accommodation.
Castle Shannon Municipal Offices remain closed to the public but we will continue to conduct business. Residents can reach the Borough offices by phone or email. There is a drop off mail slot at the front door of the offices. When necessary, some business will be handled by appointment only. Masks are mandatory when visiting the building.
