Willow Avenue Closure at Canal Street/Baldwin Street

Castle Shannon Residents and Motorists,

Please be advised that the PRT track maintenance project starts on May 17, 2024. This is a 24/7 operation and will entail closing Willow Ave at the PRT crossing. No traffic will be able to travel on Willow Ave in that area. The posted detour will take traffic to Rockwood Ave, Route 88 and Castle Shannon Blvd …and the reverse. Please avoid the area if at all possible. Local residents will be inconvenienced with around the clock construction, but the idea is to open the road and finish the work with expedience. Your patience is appreciated.

Columbia Gas Cross Bore Safety Program

Columbia Gas and their contractor, Hydromax, will be completing work for the Cross Bore Safety Program throughout Castle Shannon in the coming weeks. For a full list of roadways that will be impacted, please see the attached document. There will be minimal road closures, and all local traffic will still be allowed through.
